Iron Reef Claims Consultants was founded by Patric Hewitt, a licensed Florida Public Adjuster whose professional background combines civil engineering education, military leadership, construction expertise, forensic building evaluation, and policyholder representation in complex property loss matters.

Patric earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Mississippi State University and is a proud Mississippi State alumnus. That academic background continues to inform the way he analyzes structural conditions, building performance, damage mechanisms, repair scope, and the technical issues that often sit at the center of disputed claims.

Although Patric is not practicing as a licensed engineer, he continues to apply his civil engineering background in the investigation and evaluation of losses. In technically demanding matters, Iron Reef works in coordination with state licensed structural engineers and other qualified experts to assess causation, structural impact, code related issues, scope development, and the evidentiary support necessary for serious claims and litigation oriented files.

His professional foundation was further shaped through service as a U.S. Navy Seabee and Iraq War veteran, where mission discipline, accountability, chain of command communication, and execution under pressure were part of daily operations. Those same qualities now define the way Iron Reef manages high stakes claims.

After military service, Patric built a career across construction, building inspection, forensic building analysis, consulting, and property damage evaluation. That experience provides direct familiarity with how structures are built, how envelope systems fail, how damage propagates through building assemblies, and how repair and reconstruction issues should be documented and presented.

As a Certified Master Building Inspector with a technically informed background, Patric brings a level of practical and analytical insight that is especially valuable in losses involving structural questions, moisture intrusion, wind related failures, fire damage, construction defects, scope disputes, and causation issues requiring coordination with outside experts.

Over the course of his career, he recognized that policyholders are often required to confront sophisticated carrier positions supported by consultants, engineers, adjusters, and legal teams, while lacking comparable technical guidance of their own.

Iron Reef was built to address that imbalance. The firm was created to deliver organized, technically grounded, policyholder focused claim representation for residential, commercial, and marine losses, with particular value in matters requiring deeper investigation, expert coordination, and litigation ready claim development.
